Donations

In sharing we express our gratitude to God for His goodness
and we show our concern for others and so grow in holiness.

What follows is a list of various items you can donate, where and when to bring donations in, and where to call for information.

  • Appliances and Furniture may be needed by individual families in the parish. Needs would be known by the St. Vincent de Paul Society.

  • Baked Goods are needed every Election Day for the Spaghetti Dinner hosted by the Christian Mothers. If you would like to bake monthly for the local Meals on Wheels (about 40-50 clients), call Louise Pohl at 724-378-3181.

  • Candle envelopes are posted on either side of the candle room. If you light a candle in remembrance of a special intention, please drop the candle envelope with your donation in the collection basket or deliver them to the rectory.

  • Charitable Bequests arrangements are easily made. Contact Fr. Kleppner for help with the simple procedures needed to make a bequest for the benefit of the parish or diocese.

  • Clothing can be dropped off in the preschool entrance for our Clothing Bank.

  • Cribs and Infant supplies are given to Lifeline. They may be dropped off in the preschool entrance. Please, no toys.

  • Eyeglasses can be dropped off in the vestibule of the Church in a marked basket next to the poor box. 50 Plus takes them to Lenscrafters to be reground.

  • Flower donations are made through the rectory for a donation of $50. The bulletin will announce the memorial.

  • Food can be dropped off in the Food Pantry bin in the Church entrance for our Food Bank.

  • Paperback books may be dropped off at the Preschool entrance for Beaver County Jail.

  • Sacramental Offerings A donation of $10 is made for a Mass. Some families wish to include an additional donation to the priest in appreciation for baptisms, weddings, and funerals. Contact the rectory to request a Mass intention.

  • Spare Change, loose bills, and undeserved windfalls can be placed into the poor box in the back of the Church within the shelves nearest the candle room. Proceeds go to St. Vincent de Paul Society to help the poor of our area.

  • Religious Items can be donated to 50 Plus at their regular meeting on Thursdays from 1 until 3. Items are given to a local Catholic Bookstore for proper disposal or resale.

  • Wheelchairs, walkers, canes can be dropped off at the Preschool Entrance for St. Vincent de Paul.

  • Sunday Collections form our operating budget. The financial statement is published each year. Sunday collections are the means by which we carry out our mission statement.

  • Parish Share supports such things as our bishop, our diocesan ministries, the formation of future priests and support of retired priests, assists Catholic Charities in six counties, supports the diocesan care of people and children with disabilities, supports Catholic chaplains in hospitals, jails, and campuses, supports pro-life programs, youth ministry, AND the excess collected forms our best parish fundraiser. This excess can be used to enhance parish ministries and programs.

  • Special Collections:

    • Catholic Relief Services is the official international humanitarian organization of the U.S. Catholic Community. CRS provides assistance in 99 countries and territories, responding to disasters, armed conflicts, refugee needs and human suffering.

    • St. Anthony School Programs provide education resources for students with Down Syndrome, autism, pervasive developmental delay, and similar disorders.

    • Christmas Charities provides for the needs of children and youth

    • Mission Sunday supports pastoral and evangelization programs in mission diocese around the world.

    • Retirement Fund for Religious provides for the basic necessities of retired religious who spent their lives building the Kingdom of God.

    • Catholic University and Communication Campaign provides scholarship at Catholic University and fosters local grants and national activities in relation to television, radio and other media.

    • Catholic Campaign for Human Development and Home Missions

    • Holy Land Collection

    • American Bishop's Overseas Appeal

    • Peter's Pence

    • Bishop's Education Fund

Future Plans
We need to look at the possibility of a new Church, transforming our present church into a hall and our current hall into much needed classrooms.
